So we are at the dog class on Monday night at Reid Park. Well I am not sure you can really call it a class since only three people and dogs showed up for the class.......but we had fun anyway. So of the dogs that were there, we had Sage. Now Sage is one of the cutest little dogs with the biggest attitude EVER. She actually reminds me a lot of Hamlet. I also kid her because she looks just like those little wooden bears that people sell on the side of the road. As soon as I figure out how to add pictures, I will have to take one and put it on here. You will know exactly what I am talking about when you see it.
Anyway, Sage is now what I refer to as the class bully. She ...

So the class that was so much fun in week 6 graduated last night. After having one rain delay and then a week off because Parks and Rec shut us out and Halloween off we finally had graduation. A ten week class turned into 13 weeks. It was a lot of fun and a little bit chilly but we got through it. We were missing a couple people that called to tell me they couldn't be there and then a couple others who were no shows. Masi took 1st place and Boomer had second. They were the only contenders off leash. Gunner took third place and most improved, (I think because Diesel wasn't there). Just kidding. Fourth place went to Winston. I'm sure he is rubbing it into ...

Well thanks to my challenging calendar, the Open class on the Northwest Side is going to start at 7:30 in the morning and over by 9:00 so I can be back on the eastside of town by 10:00. I truly appreciate you all for cooperating with me and starting class earlier this week. Looking forward to seeing you all and how much the dogs have improved since they had last week off, again because of my schedule. One of these days my life will calm down but until that happens, if you can keep up with my pace, you will be okay and if you can't, hang on because occasionally it calms down, lol.
I will see you all bright and early.
Joyce Chapman, Instructor
Happy paws and drooling jaws.

So tonight at class several dogs had a little target on their butts. It didn't take long before every dog in class had a target on their butt. Even some of the humans had targets on themselves. I could not figure out who was to blame for all this but it was quite funny and all based on last weeks lesson. I have never had a class do this and I have to say I am so happy to be teaching this class. I was trying to figure out who to blame and I wrongly accused three of my students all night long. Everything they did I blamed on them being cheaters. All in fun of course. Some of the students tried to tell me that the stickers were attached to last weeks handout ...
