Hello everyone! This is the first official Dog Blog from Cactus Canine. Just to keep you updated with events and classes and important information within the Club. Hopefully it will be a quick look of information your interested in knowing.
We have classes going on now at Reid Park (Southwest corner of the park--You know the place). Instructor Joyce Chapman will be in week 7 of the 10 week Novice class this coming Monday (October 3, 2011) and Instructor Anna Harney will be in week 3 of the 10 week Novice class also this coming Monday. Instructor Theresa Tuttle will be in week 7 of the 10 week Novice class this coming Tuesday (October 4, 2011) at our Northwest location (2555 W. Zinnia--Again, you know the place). Anyone in any of these classes or previous classes are welcome and invited to come by and work their dog in class or just have fun socializing with us. We would love to see you.
Instructor Joyce Chapman also has an Open class going on at "the Center" on Saturday mornings. We will be in week 4 of a 12 week Open Class. All dogs seem to be having a great time and as the mornings are getting a little cooler hopefully the handlers are starting to have fun.
Instructor Theresa Tuttle will be having a 6 week Novice class which is set to start on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Application are now being accepted for this class. This will be the last chance obedience class of the 2011 calendar year. Our next classes will not start until January, 2012. Anyone signing up for the 6 week class has the option of paying the additional money and attending the 10 week class in January. This is the best of both worlds. You get to start your obedience now and finish after the holidays.
AND....AND.....And as you saw from our home page, we will be having a Show and Go at "the Center" onSaturday, October 29, 2011 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. This will be great for anyone interested in competing in the upcoming AKC shows in and around the Tucson area this fall. If you aren't quite sure if you want to show or if you aren't sure how to get started in the process, we can help with that as well. Come on make Cactus Canine proud, show off what we taught you and what you and your dog have worked so hard for.
Okay well that is all I have for the blog for now. If you have any questions or comments please send us an email. We are interested in making this a very active sight for our members and guests. Please let us know what you would like to see.
Happy Paws and drooling jaws!
